To help you avoid problems like these, we offer a simple two-to-three week federal registration process.

An Employer Identification Number (EIN) is also known as a Federal Tax Identification Number, and is used to identify a business entity, normally supplied by the IRS - Internal Revenue Service. Foreign companies and individuals are eligible to receive an EIN and are required to report their foreign address. The address provided during this process is where your official EIN letter will be mailed. Processing time is typically 2-3 weeks and involves working with the IRS to obtain your EIN. Time of length spent with the IRS can vary so this process is pre-billed for an estimated 2 hours of work.
Articles of incorporation are a set of formal documents filed with a government body to legally document the creation of a corporation. You will be required to obtain a registered agent on your behalf. Processing time is typically 24 hours.
The FRN is assigned to a business or individual registering with the FCC. The FRN is used to identify the registrant's business dealings with the FCC. Processing time is typically 24 hours.
This will include your robocall mitigation plan, and unless exempt, your integration of Stir-Shaken components into that plan. We will provide standard samples of acceptable mitigation plans. Processing time is typically 24 hours.
The FCC 499 Filer Database is an identification system for all interstate telecommunications carriers, all interconnected VoIP providers, and certain other providers of telecommunications. A 499 Initial Filer ID is a onetime registration that provides your company with a specific filing number needed to file the required 499A and 499Q forms. All companies must file 499A’s annually and 499Q’s Quarterly except for companies with de minimus filings where a 499Q is not required. A DC registered agent is necessary to obtain a 499 Filer ID; we can assist with this process as outlined on our Order Form; all registered agent fees are the responsibility of the customer. Processing time for the 499 Initial Filer ID is typically week.
It is required to file your 499A within 2 weeks of filing your 499 Initial Filer ID. Processing time is typically 24 hours.
The OCN is a 4-digit code assigned to identify your company with carrier and industry providers like NPAC. All fees charged by NECA are the responsibility of the customer. Processing time is typically 2-3 weeks
STI-PA is the division of iconectiv that monitors robocall mitigation and oversees the certificate approval process. During this step STI-PA will perform testing on your network to ensure your ability to process toKENs. Processing time is typically 4 weeks.
Once you have your own STIR/SHAKEN Certificate, your Robocall Mitigation Database listing will need updated to reflect the correct implementation status.
Once we have filed your FCC form 499-a, you will have to re-file each April. If you are a domestic U.S interstate carrier, you may have charges due to the Universal Service Fund (USF). If your annual contribution is less than $10,000 in any year, you will fall under the de minimis exemption and will not be required to contribute to the USF.
